Great beer. Great food. They have checkers. This used to be the place to go, but it only has 70-80 beers on tap not like other newer restaurants/bar, but this one is by far the best.

I discovered The Flying Saucer in Raleigh about three years ago while there for a trade show. I checked it out and fell in love with the place. It is located in the downtown area and easy to find. They feature a HUGE selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles. The menu is interesting, but my favorite item... More

One of my favorite beer dives to meet friends and enjoy libations. Fat Tire had an apricot ale on tap here years ago and I have never found anything quite like it (which I loved). My recent evening was fun in the atmosphere this place offers and the service always on point.

Nice place to hang out with friends or to make new friends and talk about the different beers you like or not. Also their Brats, sauerkraut and potatoe salad are pretty autentic German...and I am from Germany. Did not have time to try all the 70 beers on tap so it looks like I have to come back.

We have been to this place so many times, by now I should have my own plate nailed to the ceiling. The problem is i am porters and stouts guy, so I don't care about other varieties. There are quite a few places with good selection of beer in Raleigh, but this place is still #1. The best imperial stouts!... More

Several years ago I made my first trip to the Flying Saucer. It changed my opinion of what beer is. Let's just say I got a beer education. This place is fun, family oriented and educational. If you join the UFO club you get credit for 3 different beers you drink everytime you visit. After 200 beers you get a... More

This is a fantastic bar. As you walk in you get the feeling of an Irish pub. The wooden bar is quite long and behind the bar are about 100 beers on tap. The bartender is very nice, knowledgeable and will let you taste as many beers as you want. Do not hesitate to ask his recommendation. We did eat... More

I Love Flying Saucer! It is a must if you are visiting Downtown Raleigh. It offers a unique bar atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The food and beer selections are wonderful :) I recommend the Saucer Dipster to eat if you enjoy a French Dip. I CRAVE this sandwich! Its a great size, the beef is tender, the bread... More

Went for a light dinner but couldn't do it. Had a shepherd's pie accompanied by pretzels. Pretzels and soft, hot, and delicious. Shepherd' pie was nicely done and my spouse's salad was exactly as desired. Double chocolate beer is not to be missed.

The food here is good and place is clean. I think though this place is better suited for younger folks who like to drink with their meal. It was a little noisy for me being in my 60's
