When out of town firends wanted good Mexican food my first thought was Cafe Capistrano! I switched up from my usual Mexican salad for fish tacos and they were delish! My firends loved Cafe Capistrano!

I visited Cafe Capistrano on a random Tuesday night. The place was fairly busy but not packed. I am not hard to please by any means and never complain. The food was good enough that under the right circumstances I would recommend the place, but the service was slow and seemingly careless. The hostess seemed too busy to be bothered... More

This restaurant is in a small strip shopping area off of Durant Rd. I have never had better Mexican food than here. Portions are huge, the chile sauce they prepare is wonderful. Servers are always friendly...food arrives in a timely manner. We go here at least a couple of times per month.

The wait staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. I wasn't crazy about the chicken torta I had but the queso and lime rice are good. Keep in mind that if you're expecting Authentic Mexican food you may be dissatisfied since they serve Mexican food with a California twist.

This is my all time favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is Baja California style Mexican. They make everything fresh here, even down to their taco shells. Everything is absolutely delicious!!! We love this restaurant! Everything is made to order so give yourself a little extra time. But the food is worth the extra few minutes! If we lived closer we... More

We are here Jul 9th for our date night. We've been here before so we knew what to expect. We always make reservations just in case (you have to call they aren't on open table). The food was great. I had the Mexican salad with chicken on top and it was fresh. Basically a burrito on greens. Th server was... More

I am spoiled by the Mexican Salad with chicken and lime dressing. Always enough to take home for next day lunch.

Glad to have found this gem. Nice variety of the more traditional style Southern California Mexican Food, as opposed to Tex-Mex style that's more common today. The food is prepared fresh and it shows. The Chili Relleno was excellent. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other menu items. Recommended!

This place is awesome. Upscale Mexican. Tortilla soup was excellent. The Cali torta sandwich was amazing on Fresh baguette! Yum If it hadn't been for slightly stale chips it would have got 5stars. Haley was my server and she did a great job. I'll be back with the wife in tow.

The sign states California style Mexican, however I think they left the California in California. I expected light, fresh and interesting. It was pretty ordinary and tasted just like the average Mexican platters you can get anywhere in Raleigh. The only thing I can say was excellent was the salsa. It really was exceptionally fresh and delicious. Unfortunately the chips... More
