We have run our own resort in Agnes, many moons ago we had a look around the getaway, a bit basic and a bit out of the way. However returning there for breakfast, we walked into a true oasis, beautiful grounds, luxurious villas and a restaurant set in gardens with water features that are at least impressive, had poached eggs... Had delicious Sunday breakfast when staying at 1770 Getaway. Nice to see a different take on the standard big breakfast with pastrami, haloumi and tomato relish. Timely service and friendly staff. Only small criticism is that the coffee could have been a bit hotter but that's just being picky on an otherwise beautiful meal.

Just what this area needs, a comfortable cafe serving lovely food in a relaxed beautiful location. We were quickly seated for breakfast by our friendly waiter, straight up a good coffee was in order and it was delicious. I ordered the Mushroom stack and my partner ordered poached eggs on toast with a side of hash brown both are very... More

We visited the cafe on the recommendation of a staff member from the Agnes Water information Centre and the praise that she gave it was right on the mark. When you walk up the path (about 40 or 50 metres) towards the cafe you pass through an amazing garden full of Bromiliads and other rain forest type plants which are... More

This place is out of town - about 2 kms maybe. It is sensational place to have a coffee or a meal. Don't go to the standard Cafes but go and sit in a beautiful location surrounded by wonderful gardens. It is a total surprise. The staff our friendly and happy to have a yarn. This is a place to... We went there for coffee by recommendation, and yes, it is a particularly beautiful place, but, compared to the friendliness we had experienced all down the east coast, there was a coolness about the service (which was very slow) and it all felt a bit too manicured. Having said that, the breakfasts looked stunning and the evening meals sounded amazing.... More

Relax in the leafy setting of our Garden Cafe and enjoy our delicious menu of fresh meals, desserts, and fresh juices featuring locally sourced ingredients that we lovingly prepare in our kitchen each day.

Fresh juices, loose leaf teas and our superior blend of Campos Coffee is available for you to enjoy all day, and you'll always find our dessert cabinet stocked with beautiful home-made cakes, slices, tortes, and pastries. We're sure to have gluten free and dairy free options on hand, and we've been told our vanilla slice is the best on the Discovery Coast!

Sunday to Friday we offer a full breakfast menu from 8am to 11am. Our Lunch starts from 11:30am and goes through to 2:30pm. There is a large variety of choices to suit everyone and we are always looking to try something new in one of our daily specials using fresh seasonal produce from the local areas. The quality of our food and meals is of the highest importance to us.

From the free range eggs to the large variety of artisan baked breads we aim to always source the best available product for our menus.

The Garden Cafe is open Wednesday and Sunday for our famous Spit Lamb Roast (with all the home-made trimmings!) And traditional wood-fired pizzas. These special nights are hugely popular with the locals, so bookings are essential to avoid disappointment. Our Garden Cafe is not licensed so you're welcome to BYO. Our menus change often, so you can keep up to date with what's happening in our kitchen on facebook and instagram
