Our dinner was divine! My husband got the fresh oysters and tuna while I got the mixed grill. Their margaritas are wonderful too. Don't leave there without dessert. Our waiter, Addison, did a super job and he has great manners too. I look forward to our next trip to Southport so we can eat there again!

We had a great dinner, shrimp and prime rib, served quickly. The food was tasty, the service was great and the ambience was serine.

We've eaten at most Southport and Oak Island restaurants and this has been our best experience. We went on a Wednesday night (April 12, 2017) with an early reservation and it was still crowded. The oysters (the combo Bienville and Rockefeller) and the prime rib were wonderful. We'll be back to Mr. P's again!

Get the Bald Head Island oysters if available. Great value for tasty and sizable oysters on the half shell. Stephanie was a fabulous waitress.

Mr. P's has been one of our favorite restaurants for 10+ years. The food is always excellent, the staff pleasant and accommodating and the menu is varied enough to appeal to just about anybody.

After a recent visit to Southport, I can say that this establishment was by far my absolute favorite! The staff were all very polite, knowledgeable and genuine. I had the pleasure of meeting some of the family members that own and operate the business and found myself intrigued by the history and dedication of each of them. Each visit was... More

Excellent choice of a restaurant! The menu makes it difficult to make a choice. I had the Mushroom appetizer which was 😋 delicious and had the 8oz Prime Rib which Is their speciality and it didn't disappoint. I couldn't finish it! The oyster appetizer (6) included An extra and they were delicious. The wine was great as we shared A... More

Husband had prime rib and shrimp. Since he didn't want fried shrimp he requested steamed and they accomadated his request. He said the prime rib was very flavoful. I had crab cakes, though crab was not in season, they were very good. The parmesan green beans were excellent as were the garlic red potatoes. The rolls were excellent. It was... More

A longtime Southport institution, one of the top dining spots in town. Low Country-leaning menu. Good wine list
