Yesterday me and my friends had lunch at Oliver’s and the food and service was excellent. Our server Angelina met us at the table quickly and Efficiently but didn’t rush a single meal towards the table she was sweet and very friendly. Always had a...smile. The food was delicious I decided on a French dip with the sweet fries and I couldn’t finish it though it was exquisite my friend had the creme brûlée it’s was beautiful and she told me it was The best one she had. She also had a drink from the bar it was so beautiful and tasted wonderful. We will definetely be coming backMore
I may have reviewed this place before, if not my bad. I love Southport and this WAS one of my favorite places. I made this reservation three weeks ago. They do not give confirmation and the lady actually told me to keep calling back to...check on table, which I did, always told yes,
reservation was on the book. After driving all day and checking in to hotel was excited to get there, only to be told, they can’t guarantee certain tables. Okay no problem. Then the wine list has drastically changed since February, my last visit. After two wine selections that were listed but they did not have, settled on a cocktail.
There was more garnishment than alcohol. The food was so bad if was lMore
The soft shell crab bites...OMGoodness perfectly fried with just spicy enough Sriracha Aioli. YUM. I'm always enjoying Lobster bisque, when it's on a menu, and this did not disappoint.. Grouper Oscar was melt in your mouth buttery flaky fish, topped with rich tasting crab &...hollandaise sauce.
Noticed a "team" work environment, like a well oiled machine. Everyone working together, knowing what needed to be done and doing it.
Briea was my server and was spot on with her attention to details. Was not rushed with my dishes, had plenty of time to relax between courses.
Can not wait to visit again and again, hoping to taste everything on the menu. Next time, it will be dessert first.More
We had not been there in quite a while and a friend in our development asked about good places to eat. We thought about it and decided to go to Oliver's on the cape fear. My dinner was delicious -- pasta alfredo with fried Oyster's....I hadn't had that in a while, and also fresh asparagus on the side. . My wife had an excellent Manhattan with Bulleit Rye. the bartender is excellent. Her Ribeye was very good but she asked for medium rare and it was not quite rare enough. But dinner all together was delicious and we will definitely be back soon. And a gorgeous view of the Cape fear. After dinner we sat on the park bench outside and just enjoyed the view. We highly recommend Oliver's and their great staff., helpful and pleasant to the max.More
We had lunch about a week ago with friends and Oliver's and had an incredable experience. We were here once before over a year ago (before Covid) and the food was wonderful....IT STILL IS!
Our waitress greeted us at the table...and was so positive, great...smile and happy...it set the tune for the rest of the luncheon. I want to mention her name as she was to terrific...Lectoria.
We had the Crab Bites as a starter...and it was terrific...small Soft Shell Crabs...and nice fresh...and nicely served.
For lunch my wife had the Crab Cake Sandwitch...and she said it was incredable. Lots of crab meat and a great amount of flavor.
I had the Soft Shell Crab BLT...also wonderful! Tasty, fresh and plentiful!
Another member of our party had a salad with Samon and said it was extremely fresh...and the other party also had the salad...with seafood...and loved it.
We had a table by the window...overlooking the water.
The restaurant is extremely clean, service is exceptional and everyone seems very friendly and helpful.
If you are in Southport...or anywhere near it...take a ride...you will not be disappointed.More
Great atmosphere, food and server Cathy!!!
We ate lunch and dinner there! Cathy took the time to make suggestions then made sure our “shared” lunch was plated well. She has worked at olivers for a good many years. Gave us some history of Oliver’s Thanks...Cathy!!!More
Cathy, our waitress, was always there just a moment before we realized we needed some help....whether it was a question about a menu item, a refill of good ole' sweet tea, or some other need, she was prompt and responsive. Thank you Cathy!!!!!
Oliver's restaurant is a Must if you make a trip to Southport NC . This restaurant is new to my family but is now our favorite. Our 7yr old had a dinner of Mac and Cheese Fresh fruit and a side salad. He loved it.... My wife and I had the sea food plater. The food is knock it out of the park home run AWESOME. Ask for a table outside by the water. The attention to detail by the chef and his entire staff is amazing . You will not be disappointed. Come hungry 😋 and go home happy.More
