This small and authentic restaurant provides a good selection of Tex/Mex. The guy out front, Sergio, is friendly and always on top of everything. My wife and I split and enjoy the Fajitas Texanans - combo of beef, pork and shrimp. Delicious!!!!

Whenever I'm in the mood for Mexican in Statesville I go to Vaqueros. The food is always good but I go mostly because it's family run and they could not be nicer people.

Discovered this place a couple of years ago and it's become a favorite. Food is always good, prices are right, folks are friendly and it's an enjoyable place to dine. Tried to go with a new co-worker on Monday only to find they are closed on Mondays. We tried again today and everything was as good as ever and they... More

We have been a fan of this restaurant for a long time. They give good size portions and their prices are not too high. The service is always friendly and quick too.

We have been eating here for several years and keep coming back. The food is really tasty, the Picadillo burrito is my favorite, although sometimes I get the chalupa. We like to eat here for lunch and the prices are really good. Sergio is great, he takes good care of us and he knows what I order when I call... More

Vaquero's has been operating in Statesville 12 years. They have a very loyal following. Mama cooks. Papa cleans up and preps. Sergio is the conductor/waiter. We've been eating in the restaurant for 10 years when we pass through Statesville. Macho Burrito is my favorite. As I've gotten older, my wife and I share this burrito. You can get it with... More

I've been coming to Vaqueros for several years, food is always fresh ( I could drink the salsa!) great flavor, decent prices and the son that runs the front is fun, friendly and hard working. The parents that do all the cooking do an amazing job, I've tried alit of stuff off their menu and haven't been disappointed once. My... More

We go here somewhat frequently. The family is super nice. The son will know your order after a couple visits. Great restaurant around the corner. No high thrills but great home feeling

This is our second trip to Vaquero's and both times we had excellent meals. Sergio was our server and is very knowledgeable with everything on the menu. We've been eating here ever since they opened, usually more than once a week. Sergio and his parents are really nice people, and it's the best Mexican food we've ever tasted. Everything is fresh - no pre-made frozen stuff here. They even make their own salsa! The chile rellenos are wonderful, the fajitas, the taco salads, the molcajete. I call... More

Family-owned restaurant. Everything is fresh and home-made. I've never had a bad meal there, and have had many great ones. Wonderful, friendly waiter (Sergio).
