Fun and well equipped for larger family. Can get a great view of the water way. Children love to feed the fish that swim right up to the restaurant. Husband loves the fish sandwiches- not a fan of fish to eat a meal and we...More

Will return. First-time visit;Off season visit. Soups good. Fried shrimp breading a bit heavy, good flavor. Shrimp n grits are loose and good. Fast service. We will return.

The Icehouse Restaurant has decent food, good service and a good waterfront location. The downsides are high noise levels and air conditioning set too low.

What an amazing restaurant! We came here because all the locals raved about this place. We figured we would see for ourselves. When we arrived we were greeted with smiles, hellos, and immediately seated. We wanted to sit outside and were lucky enough to get...More

Great fresh seafood. Staff friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere. It is on the waterfront in Swansboro. We ate there 2 nights in a row. We had flounder and shrimp the first night and fish and chips plus crabcakes. They were wonderful.

I greatly enjoyed the broiled seafood platter here. It's plentiful without being a ridiculous amount of food, and every bit of it was cooked well. Service was good and atmosphere relaxing.

If you ask anyone around this area where to go eat, the first place they will likely recommend is the Icehouse, and for good reason. The food and service are excellent and have been for the nearly 20 years we've been stationed here at Camp...More

I think you might - especially if it's early in the evening or on the weekend! Our party did not have reservations (10 people) on a WEDNESDAY around 7:00 in the evening.
