This Shockers is a lot more upscale than the original. I personally like the original better because it reminded me of being back home at the beach, but is still very nice.

Stopped in for some pre-Thanksgiving seafood. There's good, bad, and a great manager mentioned in this experience...making it hard to assign an overall rating. I'm giving a 3 in hopes someone will pay attention. We've been here before but only for raw bar, this was our first 'dinner' experience. (Visited many times before when it was the dive raw bar... My first time eating at this location. Service was good. Food was good but nothing over the top good. Crab dip was different than anything I have had at any other restaurant. It was okay. The lobster tails were good but not much for the money. If you are already in the area it is worth stopping. I wouldn't fight... More

I have eaten at this restaurant several times now and one word comes to mind - consistent. The food has always been delicious and well seasoned and the customer service has been great. It can get a little crowded but once seated you won't be disappointed. Also, you have the complimentary hush puppies to distract you until your appetizers and/or... More

Great variety of menu choices. Some of the best seafood I have had since I sold my restaurant. A wide selection and unique recipes. Great items for the non-seafood lover. Pricing is within reason.

This place has a good selection to choose from (seafood and steaks). I wasn't overly impressed though. When I go to a restaurant like this, I expect to pay $25-$30 per person (which is fairly expensive to me), and I expect the food to be great. The food was certainly better than fast food, but out just wasn't as good... More

Everybody i know goes there. If you like oysters, fish, pretty much any kind of seafood, make a visit to Shuckers. It's busy, upbeat and fun. If you hate seafood, their other items are good, but who really goes to a seafood restaurant for beef and chicken? I have liked everything I've tried there. It's a Wake Forest standard.

We went to this restaurant many years ago when it was on US 1 and finally got a chance to try it in its new location and it was so good we have been there twice within 10 days. The food was excellent and well prepared. We took a party of 6 there and had a great time. They will... More

I have eaten at Shuckers for an estimated 30 times over the years. I have always had a good experience. Some of my favorites are the grouper sandwich, strawberry chicken salad, soft shelled crab (when they have them), key lime pie and their banana pudding. The wifey loves their chicken picata and soft shelled crab. Their fried oysters are good... More

We met friends at this lovely restaurant and we had the best time! How can you not with Fabulous food, Great drinks and friendly wait staff! I had the nine variety oyster plate-yum! I was told the Bloody Mary's were to die for and they were! We'll be back!
