I was told that this place had improved, personally I would beg to differ. The hush puppies were the high light from there it rapidly went down hill. Clam chowder was more like clam water, the "slaw" was pureed and virtually tasteless. The white fish was so so. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I have eaten at Captain's Bay several times over recent years. No negative experiences. No poor service. No cold food!

This restaurant had gone down hill awhile back. But now it has improved. Had the Jumbo Shrimp and Father had the little shrimp. Came with Cole saw, Choice of side, Hush Puppies and the Shrimp. Shrimp was tender and the hush puppies were great. Rest of the meal was good also.

If you like fried seafood, this is your place. I don't. I ordered a grilled red snapper with veggies. The fish was greasy and the veggies, well, the portion was about 2-3 bites. I got lots of hush puppies though. I my dog was happy. Everyone else in our party was happy with their choices. I simply prefer healthier options.... More

I am in this area once every month and go to Captain's Bay each time. Love the large selection of plates but very partial to the peppered catfish fillets on Lighter Side menu .

Very good food. Staff is friendly and helpful if they are not totally slammed, then they are friendly but not quite as responsive. I have tried many different dishes, all have been good. We often go with the special. Not fancy, but still pleasant "seafood restaurant" ambiance.

I am a repeat customer and always find the food to be appetizing. I usually have shrimp and scallops with a baked potato. Recently I went in for lunch to take back to the office. Thought I would try and see how that was. I had the special which was fish and shrimp. For less than a meal at a... More

This seaside decorated resturant, that may have been a Red Lobster in another life, should consider hiring someone from Red Lobster to show them how to cook seafood. The "sea scollops" were small bay scollops, the fried shrimp were over fried and dry as if they sat for some time before being served, the baked potato was cold like cooked... More

Service was friendly - food was soggy and tasteless. Fir the price this meal should have rated excellent but it was not.

Beware of LOW B sanitation grade. We didn't eat after seeing that. Will take my business where they will take time to care about their property
