Came across this amazing little restaurant while visiting Wilmington from SC for their very, very busy Azalea festival day. Unique choice of sandwiches, many paninnis. What made them different were the various chutneys and sauces added. Nice initial touch was the server quickly bringing a bottle of water and glasses upon greeting. No need to ask or wait for water.... More

Saw a nice sign on the corner. That was part of the decision. Walked in and saw a very nice, exposed brick walls. That were beautiful. Clean. Tables had a paper table covers with the restaurants name stamped. And yes you can draw. A new paper each time. Kids had very cheesey grilled cheese, turkey and cheese panini. I had... More

This is a great little gem in downtown Wilmington. Fabulous sandwiches, soups, homemade potato salad, etc. Every single sandwich is great. We just split a Cuban, with a soup and a side of potato salad and we were perfectly full .

Came across this place walking downtown and was soooo glad we stopped in for lunch. Comfortable atmosphere and the menu has some excellent offerings. My mom and I each got a panini and swapped halves. One was the daily special which was fantastic, the other was the Zucchini Ripieno - SO GOOD. The service was great too. I will definitely... More

Tucked away in downtown Wilmington. This place offers lots of options, plus vegetarian options. We had the Bison burger special. It was excellent. Very cute and quiet spot.

OK - this is TWICE that I've tried to take a very important client of mine to this place for lunch. We both drove downtown (which is out of the way for us), both paid for parking, both walked 2 blocks (in the rain this time) and guess what? They're NOT OPEN. Again. I'm not sure what's going on, but... More

Actually we ducked into this place to get out of the rain - glad we did. It's small and quaint like something you would see in a Lifetime movie! Great unique sandwiches. Everything we had was delicious. We've found a new place to lunch when we are downtown.

The Wayfarer has a cozy interior, good service, and excellent food. Both my husband and I enjoyed our beverages and entrees - his a Santa Fe panini and mine a gluten-free option of the Tuscany panini. The white sangria was refreshing and a delightful surprise.

We stopped in today for a quick lunch after being disappointed at our first choice. We lucked out. Bison burger and Cuban were fantastic and service was good too.

A great spot for lunch that serves gluten free bread. I have tried many things on the menu and always enjoy the food.
