The Cork and Cleaver has been around for a long time, and is due for a decor update and some quality control in the service area and in the kitchen. My father and I went there for a treat and I was terribly disappointed. I'll first say that his NY strip steak, the special, was very good. I had problems... More

was pleasant experience. I had not been here for past 20 years so was not sure what to expect. maybe not as spectacular as it was years ago, but still good.

Could hardly see each other, it is so dark. Eleven of us went there because of their "prime rib" and came away disappointed. I did not have prime rib but the special 14 ounce New York Strip ($40.00) which was nothing to rave about accompanied by a baked potato but no other vegetables. The French onion soup was only okay,... More

Decided to try the onion soup (again) and continued to have very low opinion. Tastes and looks like beef bouillong cubes mixed in water and covered with croutons and cheese melted. Does not have any onion in it. When mentioning to this "young" waiter. "yes it is different. It is homemade". Hell must be since I have never tasted this... More

Celebrated my birthday last night with a fabulous experience from the warm fresh bread, wonderful baked french onion soup, friendly and attentive staff, fast service, and perfectly doneness and super tender steak (my husband had the scallops). It was so refreshing to see staff working together, looking like they wanted to be there and having the manager work along side... More

We've been here over the years and never been disappointed. We recently took family from out of town and they were very impressed. Food was good, service was great. Well done once again!!

I had heard from a friend that cork N'Cleaver had the best steaks in FM area. We must have been there when the chef had the night off. My first time ever that I ate only about half my steak & left the rest, didn't even want to take it home. It was just the worst ever!!! Wife's meal wasn't... More

This is the first time we had been here. People don't mention it much with all the new places opening up the last few years. We had talked about trying it out a few times. People that we asked said it was good. We finally made it. I was greeted at the door and taken to my dinner party that... More

Decor old, service average, salad bar basic, food average, prices gourmet.I expected more than a scoop of rice and a sugar glazed chicken breastfeeding when we ordered Hawaiian chicken for $18. Maybe a pinapple garnish. ...something. Steaks were bland. 4 scallops were nothing special.

My wife and I were discussing options for a place to dine out for my birthday and we had not been to the Cork together. Interesting tidbit.....my dad was on the crew that did the brick work for the Cork and Cleaver. I believe this place opened approximately 1970. I had been there once before circa 1975 or so. When...
