When we went for lunch the place was empty. Food was okay as was the service. Price was a little high. Nothing outstanding, the place was clean and I would return.

Very rundown inside. Food was fair. Just not a great experience. If you're there for a fund raiser, like beer and burger night is works just fine but there are better places to go for food and drink experience in the area.

An large historic pub where we ate Sunday lunch 6 Nov 2016 (about 13:30). Lots of room at that time, one waitress on (she was working hard but keeping up) and food came quickly. We all had an beverages (beer, cider and caesars) and my husband and I had chicken fingers and fries and 2 piece cod and fries. The... More

We had only vaguely heard of this pub. So when we saw the sign we were delighted to find it is alive and well. It's tucked away and you'd never expect an old fashioned English style pub so far off the beaten track. We viewed a lengthy menu but ordered the pork cutlets. The food came promptly and was delicious... More

This is a place that, at one time, must've been one of the more interesting and cool pubs in the mid-Vancouver Island area. Time has not been kind...but if their menu were much improved, I would have no real issues with this place. People go to restaurants for food, so I have to lead with that. We weren't going far... First and last time we will dine here. Service was extremely poor. Seemed like they were understaffed for a Sunday but still unacceptable. They were more interested in attending to a large group than serving everyone else. Daily Special was advertised as Crunchy Chicken Burger but when it came it was actually just two chicken strips on a bun. Might... More

Our server Tabitha was fantastic and the food was excellent!!! I had the Chicken Quesadilla and my friend had the BigMouth Burger and both were great. This Pub is Old English Style with lots of ambience.

We've been here several times in the past, with mixed, albeit generally good, experiences. Let's start with the building/room/premises: very nice! It was a sunny afternoon and the tables out back, on the lawn, were just right. Our major disappointment came upon time to choose our beers. This is a nice pub, in a beautiful location, ON VANCOUVER ISLAND, a... More

We had a party of 11 with reservations on a busy Saturday night. CANNOT say enough how wonderful the food, service and atmosphere was. Hannah, our server was fantastic. She was fun, professional and catered to our every need. Will definitely be back!!!
