A place we found on our walk. September is not the best time for this restaurant. We came into it and the host told us there was pan-fried fish tonight. He and his wife own this restaurant and make all the meals fresh. We had...More

We enjoyed one of our better pan-fried cod and halibut meals here. The dessert choice we made wasn't the greatest, but this was Rocky Harbour's best spot for dinner.

Located at the entrance to the small town of Rocky Harbor, this white clapboard restaurant is spacious and a good spot for a bus load of people to have lunch. The building looked modern from the outside with spacious parking on a gravelled lot. Inside,...More

Stopped by here for a soup and sandwich for lunch. The staff is extremely friendly and created a great lunch!

The menu is mostly seafood but if you call early in the day a chicken or beef dinner can be arranged. The poached salmon was delicious, served with corn chowder, potatoes and vegetables. Dessert, coffee and tea are included. The portions are generous. Everyone was...More

If you are looking for traditional Newfoundland cooking minus the deep fryer this is the place to come! Dinner included fresh baked bread rolls, soup, your main course and dessert and coffee or tea. We were absolutely stuffed. Get the fish platter!

I'd give this a four star rating if not for the sandwiches. Soup was excellent, not greasy. Only two options of sandwiches: ham and cheese and chopped beef. I eat plant-based and cheese does things to my system when I travel. An egg sandwich would...More

We came here (44 +2) on a bus tour with Globus. We had an excellent vegetable soup (they grow the vegetables) and sandwiches (all you can eat - chopped beef + ham & cheese). Dessert was homemade cheesecake with partridge berry topping. Coffee, tea and...More

What a great place. Four tables busy on a Thursday night, personal service from Sid and his wife, fresh fish menu choices. Portion names were large and cooked vegetables were a real treat. Dessert and coffee included in the price, highly recommended.

Parsons is only open during the tourist season. In season, if you call ahead I would expect them to be able to accommodate a request for a variety of gluten free variation on their menu meals, but without adding such things... More
