We were here August of 2015. We stopped here to see the Dory Rips and take in the view. we ended up eating a late lunch and had a terrific grilled cheese and salad. The proprieter at the time was named Darcy and he was very friendly.

We stayed at the lighthouse and after trying a walk down from the parking lot chose to drive our car down the narrow steep road. This restaurant is a bit of a mission to get to but once there you won't be disappointed. Dinner is about $80.00 for two people. It's a three course meal well prepared and delicious. It... More

We've been to Cape D'or many times as the cliffs and views are breathtaking, however, this was our first time to stay in the Lightkeepers Cottage and have dinner at the restaurant. Garfield, the proprietor greeted us upon arrival and showed us our room. There are four rooms and a common area with couches, small fridge, coffee maker, cups, etc.... More

This is a very unique restaurant because it is a short but steep hike partway down a cliff to the restaurant but what a stunning location and clifftop view of the ocean! When we arrived at the restaurant we all wanted to have the seafood chowder as it was a very windy day and we had been out trawling the... More

This is my second time to Cape D'or but first time eating at the restaurant. The walk down the steep hill is well worth it for the fabulous view! The menu in the restaurant doesn't offer much of a variety but what they do offer is very good. The service was fast and friendly and the chef came out to... More

In the area camping so we visited this local attraction which is well worth the small walk down. We spent some time taking in the great view, sounds of the waves and the smell of the ocean. Time does stand still here. While down and about we took in a little berry dessert with coffee. The owners parents we're hosting... More

No food available, no water, no washroom facilities available. Not impressed at all. Signage needs to be posted at end of roadway, ADVISING DANGEROUS PATHWAY FOR SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. Not suitable for strollers, no handrails to help elderly to walk back up steep mountainside pathway.

Went out on overlook at high tide to see the rip currents and did a short trail around the top on a trail. The high tide view sitting on the rocks is incredible, a must for anyone who wants to see the spectacular tides.

Arrived at sunset after sightseeing in the area and we had not brought many snacks so we were hopeful for being able to grab a meal. It was closing time and Darcy made sure we left with full bellies!! The seafood chowder was delicious, and the strawberry rhubarb crumble dessert was amazing. We were totally blown away by the hospitality... More

Portion sizes were great. Limited menu. $7 for less than half a glass of cheap wine was a bit much. Take cash, no credit or debit here. Service was fast and friendly. Do not ask for ice....you'll get something that looked like it was chipped off the side of the freezer when defrosting. It made for a good laugh, but... More
