Cold day in Beddeck and we got hot soup and sandwiches made on their homemade bread. Excellent food and superb service all at reasonable price. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

I was last at the Highwheeler in October for a cup of coffee, a few loaves of bread and their shortbread cookies, which melt in your mouth! Lol I love this popular little bakery which also sells soups, sandwiches, etc. It is small and can be quite busy. It has some seating inside and outside on their patio. The unfortunate... More

Awesome, quality food. Prices are a bit high, but worth every penny. Love the spinach salad and their delicious soups. And after eating a nice, healthy/wholesome lunch, not guilt about having one of their numerous squares, cookies, pastries, etc... for dessert! A wonderful spot to treat yourself while exploring the area.

Tasty breakfast with ham/eggs. Small, unassuming place but busy, busy in the mornings. Looked like a lot of locals and a lot of tourists. Great stop before we went on to Alexander Graham Bell Museum. Lots of delicious looking pastries.

Baddeck is a fairly small town, but in Nova Scotia, it seems that it is in these small town that the amazing bakeries thrive. The High Wheeler Cafe has incredible pastries, breads, breakfasts, and lunches to go. Everyone is super-friendly. Unlimited coffee refills. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area.

Friendly, fast, and great selections including gluten free, this bakery cafe is beyond wonderful. The food is fresh, well presented and delicious. It is so good you may have to wait in line for a bit but it is well worth your wait.
