Food was good - reasonable prices - servers were nice and helpful - had to wait a bit because it was so busy - Thursday night with a fiddler and two guitars - locals were dancing - great memory - if I get back to...More

Great scene for local music and mingling with Cape Breton locals! On the night we were there the music was mostly covers of contemporary rock and roll, but still really great and the singer was impressive with his range. The food is ok and pretty...More

I'm sorry I can't review the food, we didn't eat. We had a beer and enjoyed the most awesome fiddle and dance experience of our east coast tour. The energy, the music, the locals randomly coming to the dance floor to jig. The hour we...More

Drinks and pub fair and live Cape Breton fiddle music. Well worth the cover charge. Be sure to mingle with the locals.

Spent a Saturday afternoon here listening to an incredible fiddle player. The place was jammed and full of energy. Service was excellent and food delicious. Spent 2 weeks in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Had the best chowder ever at Doryman's.

Why is it that the Doryman can’t add some vegetarian options to its menu (which doesn’t seem to have been updated in decades)? 5% of people always choose vegetarian meals when eating out, 37% of people choose the vegetarian meals sometimes. The Doryman has a...More

We joined the crowd on Saturday afternoon to hear the fiddle player and were well entertained! The band was very talented and they were joined by a young lady, maybe 11 years old, who also played the fiddle. She had the audience on their feet!...More

An original pub built in 1966 with astonishing view of the harbour and Cheticamp Island. Watch fishing boats or whale tour boats while enjoying a fabulous meal, a cold drink, or listening to one of our raved ceilidhs or live music acts. Many locals eat and/or come for fun at this laid back pub. We hope your experience is up to par, and welcome comments on Tripadvisor...
