Some folks forget where they are. We are in the north in Cape Breton where Resturants close at 8:45. We like bars and went to a number of Resturants who all have bars and finally settled in this one. We did not eat here but had a drink before dinner then moved to another for dinner that was rated much... More

Nice restaurant. Service was good. I actually ordered dinner from the pub. I ordered calamari which was ok but overcooked. Breakfast was very good with generous helping.

We took what we could get on short notice with no prebooking! Got a tiny, dated cabin on the water with a stunning view and wonderful ocean air! AND we left a window open tol listen to the ocean at night whch was great! Welcoming, fun staff in the pub which has a limited menu.

I was sorry to hear that the Thirsty Hiker was no more then briefly elated to hear that the new owners had started it up once again. Alas, this is a far cry from many happy visits in years gone by. No visible signage stating that the pub is open and the cheerful pub musician replaced with a young'un playing... More

This restaurant should not be listed on tripadvisor,ca because it no longer exists. The pub at this resort has also been shut down even though it was heavily patronized and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

The owner closed down the restaurant and pub this year, both of which were quite successful. The pub featured good music, enjoyed by congenial crowds of locals and tourists. The closing put a number of people out of work.

We read some negative reviews on this site about this restaurant, but we tried it anyway. We had great service, a very nice table by the window and we thought the food was just fine. Ingonish is not a "foodie" town and even the top resort here only had okay food. But our meal here was better than average and... More

My fiance and I didn't dine in the restaurant, but we did head down to the pub. The fish and chips was freshly prepared and delicious, and the beer was free-flowing and cold. But the best part of the evening was the live music. Cyril MacPhee and Rob MacLean played guitar and sang original and cover songs throughout the evening.... More

We had a very good experience here. We had a delicious soup, salad, steak. Didn't try dessert. The service was very good. Very clean, attractive restaurant. Best food so far in Ingonish (not the gourmet capital of the world). Opposite experience to the Previous reviewer.
