While camping here, we especially enjoyed this option for a tasty meal served by friendly people in a quite and relaxed atmosphere!

Aunt Carol is a hoot!!!! Aunt Carol is also a fantastic cook!!! Tried to convince her to jar her homemade jams and sell them. The strawberry/rhubarb jam is to die for and her "new" apple jam is out of this world!! Homemade bread and perfectly cooked eggs were wonderful. The only sad thing was we couldn't stay longer to try... More

The first time I visited this heralded cafe, I went for breakfast and like my fellow diners could not contain my enthusiasm for the fabulously crispy hash browns and the toast -- made from home-made bread. It is also a rare thing to order bacon and have it come to you properly cooked -- Carol's was. The second visit I... More

We had lunch at the cafe and the servings were huge. Wonderful home cooked meals and home made desserts. Atmosphere is sea shanty, lovely!

We had lunch at the Stone Horse cafe. (note they only serve breakfast and lunch up until 2:00 p.m.) I had the BLT and fish chowder. Both were excellent..... Kudos to aunt Carol back there in the kitchen! The BLT was built on nice thick toasted homemade bread and the chowder was fabulous. The folks at the next table were... More

We stopped for a bite at this quaint little restaurant, boy am I glad we did! The menu offered a so called "Monster Burger" for about ten bucks. I thought to myself, I dunno... How big could it be for $10? I ordered it anyway, Holy Jumpin' Jaysus! It's Huge! (See my photo of it) The Bun? Made in house... More

It's a small rustic spot and we wandered in amidst what seems to have been their busiest day (with a large take-out order wedging in amidst a full café and the adjoining campgrounders out back). We timed it better than the people in front of us and were rewarded for our patience (my wife's patience, mostly, as she could see... More

A real interesting little café adjoining a campground. A real friendly downhome place. The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade bread and preserves. Take a few minutes and see the campground and the inlet. View is beautiful.

You have to try the monster burger! Trust me! This is a great little cafe designed around the breakfast and lunch crowd. Everything is home made including the hamburger buns. Really great food.

We have eaten breakfast and lunch at the Stone Horse Cafe many times over the years. The food has always been good, home cooked and freshly made. It has gotten a little pricier over the years, however, especially compared to Chavelah's located a little further on the road.
