The food is excellent, everything our group of 10 had for meals was excellent and plentiful. Homemade bread and rolls and biscuits used with meals. Pies are beyond good. I would definitely return

We visited on a Friday in May. Our service was very friendly and helpful with information. The antique store attached had lots of neat things to look at while waiting for your meal. Four of us ate and one really like her meal...two were good,...More

This is a restaurant we used from time to time as a nice destination. It is a Pleasant Drive from where we live and the food was always good. Sadly on our last visit food was inedible- my wife's chowder was thick with flour and...More

Hi Paul, I am incredibly sorry that you had an unpleasant experience in our restaurant. Our Seafood Chowder is not made with any thickeners, only heavy cream, but it is very unfortunate that your wife found it inedible. I would definitely encourage you to ask...More

It is a great place for a lunch or a dinner meal in the summer time. THe staff are friendly, and the gift shop has many unique items. A Nice spot to relax and enjoy a breather

What is there to say I go here every time I come home to visit family. Great treats and quality restaurant and fairly good coffee as well. Everything is good, it is your particular taste that will determine your favorite. Not too much has changed...More

I'm serious. The oat cakes here are AMAZING, or at least they were. I wait all year to come to Days Gone By, and when I did this year, I discovered they'd CHANGED the recipe. They were still good, but the old ones were much...More

We were visiting Mahone bay and walking along the streets to the shops and stopped in for tea and dessert! It was absolutely delicious! We sat outside and ate our dessert to a beautiful view! The sales lady was very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend...More

Stopped for brunch, staff was friendly but the food was nothing to write home about. No major complaints but I wouldn't make a point of going back.

We stopped here last week on the way to Cape Breton. Attracted by the old-fashioned decor and promise of good home cooking, we were disappointed to find that the food was barely average - tons of tasteless, generic, deepfried 'homefries' did nothing to lift up...More
