Wonderful menu with a range from Mexican to Continental. Outdoor and indoor seating with a very nice bar. The best staff you can find in Ajijic, the owner is charming and full of great local information. We enjoyed the fish in mustard sauce, the chile relleno, and the chicken burrito. Everything was served piping hot! Great bread, and Mexican ketchup... More

After a lapse of a few months, we revisited our local restaurant. It was as if we had been there just yesterday, greeted by Chavo the owner who guided us to "our" table. Of course, we had our usual arachera, perfectly cooked medium with mashed potatoes and vegetables and the best dunking gravy. That and a bottle of wine came... More

Beautiful decor, quaint in the sense that a Mama hen and her chicks were run around near our table while we ate. The owner/waiter Salvator is a character with a good sense of humor. Apparently he has been in business here quite a while. There was a book for sale on a table in the patio about him and his... More

We went here as a very good Violinist was playing and we enjoyed the music along with very good pork chops. This is small but a place I would return too. I like the out-of-the-way places.

Tio Domingo is a little off the beaten path but well worth a visit. My husband and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and were treated to a terrific home-style meal. The owner/waiter Salvador provides excellent service and very good food. He is comfortable in English, but allowed us a visit in Spanish. Although we appreciate the effort, too many... More

Fairly limited menu but reasonably priced and better than average selection. Personalized, attentive service.

Yes, it's off the beaten path, not close by and takes a little extra effort. It is absolutely one of my favorite places. Tio's represents the soul of Mexico. There is a beautiful story behind the restaurant, the owner, Salvador and the love shared by the community where he lives. And the food is fantastic. Of course, there is always... More

We go by here quite often when walking our dog ,and Salvador, and his dog Oso, are always very friendly, so we decided we would treat ourselves to his spanish coffee and banana flambe due to the wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed with his showmanship and our treat was excellent!

Since 1999 Salvador has provided great food and friendly service. The residents of La Huerta community flock to TD not just because of its location ( just across Ocampo) but because of food and Salvador. Several LH residents even helped S when he moved two place and build a new restaurant several years ago.
