We saved La Lunita for our final night, such a treat. The seafood was perfect, the atmosphere relaxing.

Absolutely the best margarita ever. I especially liked the Serrano pepper margarita. We enjoyed fabulous meals as well, looking out at the water. Sunday (I think, better check) is tapas day. We ordered one of everything on the menu. It was all delicious.

As I had seen on Tripadvisor, this place had been given very good reviews. After having been there I now see why. The location is absolutely a five-star worthy! It is litterally located on the beach. Sitting there in the night hearing the waves coming in is balm to your soul .. As for the food .. Well, this is... More

We decided to try this restaurant while here in Akumal. Ordered a couple of beers and their Mezcal margarita. When those came out, the beer was barely on the cool side and it was definitely the worst margarita I had here in the 8 days I spent in Mexico. No, I didn't finish it. At that point we paid and... Great restaurant right on the beach! We stumbled upon it taking a walk one afternoon and stopped in to eat. We had the lobster, which was phenomenal! They brought a few sizes out to choose from, still alive, so you know it is fresh. Their servers are friendly and we had a few laughs when we watched one teasing a... More

I stayed here as a guest of the condo located directly adjacent to the restaurant. Service is a bit iffy but if you're in no hurry it's kind of a hidden gem. Prices are reasonable the drinks are great but service is spotty.

We stayed next to La Lunita restaurant and ate there every day. Sometimes more than once a day. There three great things about La Lunita: you sit on the beach, the service is friendly, and the food is excellent. When we were there, the chef was from Spain and his food was delicious, and the tapas were excellent. The food... More

Delicious food, excellent service and the place is set right on the beach so you have a beautiful view during the day and wonderful under the stars dining at night.

We stayed in the condos above the restaurant. Ate here the first night we arrived and the fish was just average and not fresh. Tonight, we had our final night's family dinner. Everyone's food except mine was ok. I ordered the Pollo Bronco (Chicken Bronco) style. It started off good, but part of the way through, I ate the chicken... More

I had eaten at La Lunita before and wanted to take my daughter there since it was her first trip to Akumal. It is still delicious and a beautiful setting. She really enjoyed being able to listen to the ocean while we ate.
