The ambiance of this restaurant is outstanding. Seating is on the beach, the decor is fabulous. Locals retreat here to get away from the crowds. There is a nice bar and the staff are amazing. Love this place.

Found this little gem while walking from the lagoon back out to Akumal Bay. Amazing food...but the best surprise was when we got the bill. Very affordable. Great beach front location.

By chance my family and I stopped at this place and we all loved what we ordered. Try the coconut shrimp with mango sauce...mouth-watering... or the tuna crusted with sesame seeds..delicious. I will definitely come back to this place. Highly recommended.

Stumbled upon La Lunita and it was our best meal of the trip. Remote, fresh and best seared tuna ever!

I am vegan and thought I might had a very hard time finding food to eat that wasn't a salad while in Akumal. La Lunita had several vegan meals. I had the vegan taco plate which was delicious! I would strongly recommend this place. They...More

We had lunch for 4 here & the view was great. The food & service were terrific. Lots of more interesting options & not just basic Mexican stuff. A nice change if you are in town for several days. Great wine options on the menu...More

We went to LaLunita to celebrate my besties' cincuentanera. Everyone loved their food and really enjoyed the tamarind margaritas. The staff sang happy birthday and presented her with a surprise dessert. It's pretty dark (romantic) at night so be prepared to use your phone flashlight...More

I'm afraid the beautiful seaside setting has influenced too many of the reviews. The reality is that the food is quite expensive and not well prepared. Friday night was lobster night, but mine was small and over seasoned. My wife's fish was overcooked and the...More

You cannot beat the view, as you're pretty much sitting right on the white sands about 20-30 feet from the ocean. While we were eating the waiter pointed out a sea turtle that was laying eggs right in front of the restaurant. We went to...More

I think it is still on the menu, but not 100% sure. We ate there twice and the food was great, even with special orders.

Don't think they allow you to bring your own wine into the restaurant. Personally this is one of the most expensive places to eat in Akumal, and for the price the portions are small.
