Love his pub, great pub grub especially Sunday roast! Tends to be staff dependent on overall experience, was amazing then a bit iffy but last visits good service.

I love the location, love the character and style of this pub. However this was my first visit in a few months and things have changed a little - the most senior person behind the bar is rude and impatient. Customers have to guess where...More

My husband and I came here for dinner while away for a pre-baby break. I’ve visited the pub once before during the day, but it was lovely to come back for an evening meal as the ambience is totally different. The quirky oldy-worldy feel of...More

Last visited the pub in 2016 when the food was average but popped in for dinner tonight with a group of friends and there has been a vast improvement. There were 2 orders for the Sunday Roast which were very good and my partner and...More

Party of 12 for Sunday Lunch. Most had a traditional roast but other options available. For me however the joy of this session is a real Sunday Roast. Booking a must as very busy (2 timed sittings) but rest assured service is excellent so whatever...More

Nice to see some improvements - space generating ideas, uplift of loos etc. Somethings never change menu (well a little bit) and the size of the portions. Tremendous food as ever loved the vegan bean and butternut squash burger - new chips - prefered the...More

The beer and food were Excessively over priced for what it was. I'm afraid I won't be returning in the future.

Old English setting with heart warming food. Just feels homely and quintessentially England. Food is not complex but well made with good ingredients and fair portions. Not really a gastro pub, more a relaxed pub.
