Refused visit with a Pram! After visiting The Cape for over 2 years without a child the visits were acceptable. With a visit today 04/11/23 they have refused us, didn’t ask for our booking, they just just no sorry not with a pram. Disgusting behaviour.

I've been waiting a long time for the Cape to offer dinner and was so happy to get the email to say they were hosting first Saturdays of the month for the next 3 months. I've been going to the Cape for a few years...now and absolutely recommend them, so this occasion was even better than I could have expected. The team running the restaurant are really friendly and welcoming. The Chef is a magician, the food we were served was amazing, the starters, the main and the desert were exceptional. I like the fact that the Cape serves lager the local brewers (Rebellion brewery) nice touch!! If you can get a table please try the goat curry with yellow rice it sensational, this is now my go to meal, i'm gutted that I can get to go back in November as they are fully booked, but I have a reservation for December and cant wait. See you soon Cape.More

Great food with good and fast service. What more can you ask for from a cafe? Perfect for a quick pick me up. I would recommend this place for lunch, tea and coffee.

This was our second visit to this lovely eaterie, and what a find !! Amazing food at very competitive prices, and as it was busy and the food was slow(ish) to arrive, we were offered free coffees, which stretched to delicious brownies. Friendly service and...a very warm atmosphere Have just booked to take our son and family in a couple weeks, to introduce them to this hidden gemMore

I came here with a friend on their recommendation as they attend regular with being local to the area & it did not disappoint. The place is quirky, quaint and delicious! I had the Mandela which was gorgeous. Cooked beautiful, tasted amazing and great portion...size. My friend had the farmers breakfast which she insisted was delicious - the fried banana was a nice quirky touch. Also, it was worth noting the coffee here was gorgeous! We had booked ahead as it was a Sunday brunch time and, as you’d expect with a gorgeous place, it was busy. Highly recommend & can’t wait to return!More

Overall the food was nice. We had salads and the only gripe was the waiting time. We accepted this as the location was busy but the server wasn’t overly helpful with the menu as my partner was gluten free but overall the atmosphere is nice...and food tasty although the menu hasn’t changed in quite a few years and it would be nice to see a few new options on the list.More

Whilst visiting the Beaconsfield area we went to The Cape for breakfast which was delicious. The service was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere in the cafe. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Our favourite Beaconsfield brunch spot. Always great delicious & unique dishes with a South African nudge. We’ve been everywhere within 20 miles and the Cape is definitely number one. (And such a lovely team).

We are local and come often to the Cape. The food is all absolutely delicious; unusual options, fresh, tasty and generous portions - I’ve never eaten anything I didn’t love here! We often turn up without a booking, with our baby and a buggy and...the friendly staff always greet us warmly and find us a table. It’s definitely one of our favourites. Top recommends would be the prawn open sandwich and the Mandela…. So yummy!More

First visit to The Cape, for a breakfast with the family. Lovely cozy atmosphere. Good menu choices. Portion sizes OK. Good friendly service. Nothing not to like really in respect of the important stuff. Just one small niggle that in a way was ‘funny’ more...than a niggle, but could easily wind some customers up. The young lady taking payment seemed to have an issue with numbers. I asked her to round the bill up to cover a (quite generous) tip but it took several attempts for her to understand a simple “Round it up to £xx” instruction. I’ve never found it so difficult to pay a tip 🤦‍♂️ Despite that, definitely worth another visitMore

Excellent food, fantastic coffee and a lovely welcoming atmosphere from the delightful staff. It’s always a pleasure to visit the Cape (definitely worth trying the Elgin for breakfast/brunch too - the rosti is incredible).
