Visited again for my birthday at the start of March and we took six friends who like dining out and visit high establishments on a regular basis. Lauding a restaurant prior to group dining to discerning friends can sometimes lead to varying levels of embarrassment...More

First time there for lunch, the lunch time set menu was value for money. 2 courses for £15. The smoked chicken starter and the slow cooked beef brisket main was nicely presented and very tasty. Highly recommended. Will be back.

Ate here for lunch on Easter Sunday. This place always delivers, but on a busy Easter Sunday you really see how good a place can be. Not an empty table in the place and as ever you felt like you were the only customers, such...More

We were greeted, shown a nice table and the young lady who served us couldn't have been more attentive. Chilled tap water / drinks came quickly. A lovely choice of menu and looking round at what the other guests had ordered, everything looked so tasty....More

Description
Bridging the gap between country inn & local restaurant, this substantial brick & timber hostelry is a handy addition to the drinking & dining scene in this gentrified part of the Chilterns. The Three Oaks is an independent and contemporary 'Gastro Pub' where the kitchen & service sets out to please winning many Awards for their efforts. The Lunch set menu offer's excellent value (£15/19 for two/three courses at lunch and dinner) running alongside the fabulous A la Carte menu and there is a Steak Club every Monday night which is not to be missed. The Sunday Roast has also been voted in the Uk's Top 50! There's also plenty of good drinking on the Corney & Barrow wine list (look for Guy de Chassey Champagne, Archaval-Ferrer Malbec, & Michiel Eradus Pinot Noir from New Zealand) alongside local Rebellion ales on tap.
