Big car park, lovely cosy feeling throughout the 'pub' and freshly cooked food all served in a friendly but efficient fashion. It had been a while since I last ate here but it's maintained it's fine standard. We had The Shoe hamburger (the works) and...More

We had dinner here with friends and the food was excellent and the service friendly and attentive. Gluten Free was well catered for (and other allergies). The portions were large (perhaps a little too much in places) but excellent. The bar had a great choice...More

We found this place through our car looking for places to grab some lunch, when we arrived presentation of the building is very strong and welcoming. On arrival, very cosy yet spacious seating arrangements offered with open spaces and also more tidied away spaces. All...More

We went here for a birthday family Sunday lunch in January. Two members of our party are dairy intolerant but this was no problem at all for this restaurant. The management and team made every effort to inform us what the 'safe' foods were at...More

We have a regular catch up and have been to this venue before. Good choices on the menu with something a little different and good selection of flavours. Not everything was available on the specials menu, but that is probably due to popularity. Friendly efficient...More

We had a family meal here just after Christmas at a lunch time. The venue was not excessively busy but there were sufficient customers not to feel as though we were in an empty venue,

This pub and restaurant is in a smallish village and a little off the beaten track, but the Sunday lunch carvery is worth travelling for. Portions are large and quality high. Booking is a must. In summer, the garden is lovely. Large, with plenty of...More

Second time here and I thought it was better than our first experience . I enjoyed a lovely starter shared amongst friends , followed by a lovely vegetarian dish and a beautiful Baileys cream cheese dessert Couldn’t fault it and the service was very good.

Set in the picturesque village of Offord D'Arcy between St Neots and Godmanchester, The Horseshoe successfully combines an old village pub and a gourmet restaurant. Known locally as The 'Shoe, the Grade 2 listed 395-year old period building has been extended but retains its original features and charm. The bars offer both low ceilings and rustic style, with exposed beams and Inglenook real fireplaces, whereas the restaurant has a part vaulted ceiling and a more recent design. The frequently changing menu allows you to experience internationally influenced dishes as well as the best of British cuisine. Dishes often carry a wine recommendation to help you choose the right selection. For around £25 to £30 per person, you can enjoy a three-course meal here, and should you choose something you don't like, they will offer you another choice! The Horseshoe really is lucky after all!
