By far the best pub in middlewich to sit outside, soak up the sun and have a beer or two. I have long waited to visit this place. Inside is small and cost, but outside in the beer garden it's a real good choice. There...More

Called in for a beer after walking the tow path along the canal. Friendly place. Nice beer too. Stayed for more than one beer, so must be OK.

Had a Sunday lunch which was lovely. The only thing I didn't like was the round style potatoe, I much prefer roasties. Every meal I've had here has been good. It's my local. Lovely little pub.

Long wait in not the nicest of pubs for a Sunday roast which was £11.99 each!!! Beef was nice, veg chunky and hot, gravey lacked depth and roasted pots looked like they been done early and then reheated to order. I will say we were...More

A traditional canal side watering hole, steeped in waterways culture and heritage. Boat shaped bar features no corporates but 6 local craft ales and 3 local craft lagers are made available alongside real ciders and perrys. The food is quite simply out of this world, locally sourced of course, contemporary interpretations of heritage cuisine using traditional methods. Chef Tom's fresh and loving preparation of all dishes reflects his passion for cooking and the satisfaction he gets from delivering more than is expected. Enjoy lively folk sessions in the bar and waterside entertainment in the summer, including the Middlewich Folk 'n' Boat Festival in June. Slow down, take a break and find a way to enjoy Dean's hospitality and The King's Lock Experience.
