We have to travel 8 miles from Knutsford to collect from the Codfather but it is well worth it! The fish is consistently high standard, chips cooked to perfection, side orders all fresh and perfectly portioned. If you ask they'll double wrap for the longer journeys home. This, as well as the bio packaging makes sure the food is in... More

I've been this chippy several times as it's my most local. Each time before I've been impressed however last time I'm doubting when if ever my next return will be. This fish was tasteless and rubbery and chips anaemic one ongoing complaint the portions in those polystyrene tubs are miniscule and much less than other chippys most of my chips... More

Had a lovely take away from here, food was hot and fresh and not really greasy like it can be from other places.

Daily special is such a good deal! The food is always fresh and hot. The only downside is that the chippy is that good it's very popular and can take a while for your order to be completed due to high numbers of customers. Would highly recommend, staff always seem cheery evenue when rushed off their feet!
