Nothing wrong with the food in this cafe but the younger man (I presume that owners son) gave me the third degree before I was allowed to use the customer toilet which by the way is very basic! They obviously have a problem with non customers trying to use it but don't take it out on your actual customers! He... More

Grange Cafe offered a very welcome "watering hole" halfway round a circular walk from Seatoller. Not needing a full meal, we enjoyed toasted teacakes and an excellent cup of tea. We can certainly recommend doing the walk this way round with beautiful views ahead as we approached Castle Crag, and a more gentle return journey along the river bank.

Walked from Keswick via Catbells terrace and then onto Grange village and hoped there would be a cafe offering a nice soup and there was ! Lovely vegetable soup. Not over peppered or salted. Just perfect as were the tuna sandwiches on lovely wholemeal bread. Well presented and tidy tea room. Will be returning for sure.

Stopped here on a lovely walk in Borrowdale. Properly old fashioned cafe, excellent service and the best Borrowdale Teabread ever.

Excellent home made cakes conveniently situated on the Borrowdale Bash and fabulous coffee too. Kids had milk shakes served in old fashioned milk bottles which went down well, literally. Nice outdoor seating too so bike security not a problem. Very attentive staff.

Lovely place to stop for refreshments during a walk.Great service from friendly staff. Pot of tea that just went on forever! Homemade soup to die for. Dogs welcome and staff are straight out to offer bowls of water and make a fuss of the dogs.

Very slow service, not too helpful and when we wanted to order drinks again took ages to notice, we had to go and call into the kitchen. Food ok.

Eaten lunch and afternoon tea here a few times over the last few years and it never disappoints - the food is very good especially the ginger cake pudding and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. I recommend it - definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Stopped off before and after we walked up Castle Crag. Nice range of teas coffees and cake. Pleasant service, worth a stop off if you are in the vicinity. Parking infront of cafe .
