We haven't been for a while and popped in for lunch today and it was fantastic, cannot recommend the Fillet Steak El Porto enough, cooked perfectly and exactly as described! Hubby had his favourite TBone steak and all the trimmings and it was perfect. The...More

We went for a meal last night having called in earlier in the month for a drink and thought we would give it a try for my Partners birthday meal. We were greeted by friendly staff and showed straight to our table after ordering a...More

Disappointed with our recent visit to the Sarah Mansfield pub. We booked for 7.30, ordered straight away but our food wasn't served until after 8.30pm with one meal arriving 5 minutes after the rest. Twhilst the steak was good, the other meals were average; the...More

A very good meal given to the four of us . Starters were very adequate. Three of the mains were very satisfactory and the forth was good apart from the lamb shank which was very dry causing me to leave it. Over cooked or reheated,...More

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your meal, but all our waiting staff check on tables and if you had said something then we could have rectified any complaints. We do not ever recycle chips and the metal thing is a chip basket

Very nice Country pub, with a selection of real ale on hand pulls, and a number of open log fires to give a welcoming warmth on a cold winters day. A Pint of Pedigree slipped down far too easily. Car park looked to be sufficient...More

When we arrived we were seated in the corner near the bar given menus etc. Whilst I was looking at the menu I happened to look over at the bar staff gossiping with the waitress about us. Hardly discreet, I could tell what they were...More

Went mid week for dinner and tried the Fillet el Porto served with a stilton & port sauce. Always had good lunches and dinners at the Sarah Mansfield. The Fillet el Porto beat my expectations - very succulent with a delicious sauce. A lovely country...More
