Visited for a couple of drinks and also for dinner the next night. Good variety of ale and also good selection of food on the menu and specials to be had. Good booze, good food, good atmosphere.

A party of 20 of us were there on a Saturday lunchtime. We were well looked after and served quickly. Very good portions of excellent food.

Visited for breakfast whilst on route home. Good full english, with nice hot food. Nice atmosphere and what appears to be a very extensive selection of gins. We will return to try the gin taster only because 9.45am is a little early for gin.

Lovely pub in Castleton. Stopped for lunch and I have to say the sausage and mash were great. Glad we did not walk past this pub. Lots of choice. Staff very nice.

We had a nice evening eating here, as had eaten at The Bull the night before and didn't want to go twice in a row, so came here despite the food wouldn't be 'as' good. It was quite typical pub-grub, absolutely no complaints but if you want really nice food, i would choose here, but if you're happy with a... More

Food was OK nothing special. The sunday roast wasn't the best. The Yorkshire pud tasted weird, the stuffing was dried up and hard.

Delicious food, well presented, served fast in comfortable surroundings and a lovely location. All five of us came away full of food and happy.
