Delightful, helpful and attentive staff. Good menu and the food was delicious. Lovely log fire and cosy furniture, with good lighting - great ambience. Sure that the Bulls Head does brilliantly well in the Summer months, and deservedly so.

We had an evening meal, then returned for lunch (same menu) two days later. Lovely pub, real ale and good food cooked to order (so don't be in a hurry). Roaring log fires, friendly and very efficient staff. Food better than average - and plenty of it. I particularly enjoyed steak & kidney pie and traditional Bakewell (most unlike what... More

It's a foggy February lunchtime. The Bulls Head has a warm atmosphere as soon as you enter. There were log fires at both ends of the main room with good music playing at a reasonable level. The staff were chatting in a friendly manner and immediately made us feel welcome. We were the only customers in but it didn't matter.... More

Went here between Christmas and new year with my family. Was very busy and we struggled to get a seat but it was worth it. I had the chefs stew and a mulled cider highly recommended.

We went into The Bulls Head on Boxing Day after experiencing poor service in The Castle. What a difference, friendly welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere. Recommended & we will definitely return.
