Excellent coffee and great little cafe. Love having a modern cafe in Cooktown. Good options are lacking. Would be great to have a better lunch menu and not just small items.

Brand new chef. Very good coffee and good service. Loved our breakfast - huge amount of bacon and really fresh eggs - no powdered eggs thankfully. Popular with the locals - you probably will have to sit inside in the air conditioning because the locals have taken over the deck area!! Free WiFi too

Was ok but nothing special for sausages n poached eggs. Sausages were very spicy...not the usual. Eggs cooked good though. Did not eat sauce as not sure if GF. Looked like barbcue. Can get Gluten Free bread and done in separate toaster. Much nicer less load music last visit. Nice peppermint tea.

Visited for breakfast. We were told we would have to wait about half an hour for food as the table before us had put in their order first (it was only four people). After waiting the half hour, then someone came over to ask two people to change their meals as the boss had gone to get ingredients and not... More

Capers is a small, modern and very popular cafe. The food takes a while but it's worth it. Good coffee, great selection of juices and a predictable yet pleasing menu. Right on the main street so you can sit and watch everyone coming and going.

Great muesli! Sat on the outside table with a view over the gardens. Reasonably priced with a range of smoothies and good coffee

Food was great with friendly service. Lovely view. The ham and cheese sandwich was excellent, and coffees and milkshakes spot on. Cool spot for breakfast and lunch. Great place to take the family.

Pleasant atmosphere for Breakfast, not a lot to choose from, was expecting some cereals etc, but what we had was sufficient. Very nice to look out on the water while eating. The coffee was tepid, but when we asked to heat it up there was no fuss. The staff were friendly, and the Cafe was tidy and clean and handy... More
