As locals, we have eaten here frequently for lunch and dinner. Some days the effects of wine and the view covers for the mediocre food and other time the food shines by its self. I have always loved the Coconut Prawns and BBQ Banana dish...however last night it was cold and the banana was chalky with no taste. The Duck Parfait was brilliant. The Crispy Skinned Barramundi wasn't crispy at all and it is always hard to accept that a dish costing $40 dollars isn't presented as it is described on the menu. The wine was good. The service was pleasant.More

They were very busy and we spent 15 minutes waiting in line for our table and when we got to the host my booking was crossed out I mentioned that we had been waiting in line 15 minutes and still very much wanted our table...and the host promptly seated us and gave us a free drink as apology for the wait and mix up He then regularly checked on us This effort more than compensated for the wait and mix up We hadn’t been for a number of years, and we had an amazing meal in a beautiful space and will definitely become regulars againMore

The service here is amazing, the people are so friendly. The cocktails are incredible. The food is absolutely to die for. 10/10 recommend. My fiancé and I went here for lunch and his comment was the salmon is better than he could ever do (which...is a 100/10 review). Absolutely loved it.More

The Boat Shed Restaurant is in a lovely location over looking the water. They had gas burners going on the cool, windy evening which worked a treat. We enjoyed delicious calamari for entree and my partner had perfectly cooked Pork Belly. I chose the Swordfish...and was very disappointed. The fish was bland, the coleslaw was bland as was the black rice. There was a mango purée dolloped around the plate but I found this just didn’t work. I have eaten here before and had a beautiful meal and will try again however not the Swordfish. Good wines by the glass. Our waitress was delightful.More

Terrible!! This used to be our favourite restaurant….. not sure what’s happened as sadly we have now had 3 terrible meals here. As our friend accurately stated, they are are trading off a reputation they no longer deserve. Menu is unappealing and hasn’t changed in...a long time, food is poor at best and often terrible, overcooked lamb for example. Don’t be fooled by the pictures they present, there is no steak on the menu as apparently they cannot find a decent supplier!!! Excuses excuses, terrible experience, won’t be back.More

Wife and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary here at lunch on Monday and it is one of the best restaurants we have been to. Food, service and location are second to none. Ella our waitress was friendly, professional and obliging. It was a leisurely...lunch and totally enjoyable. When in Cotton Tree this is a place not to be missed.More

Friends of our suggested this place for lunch. Very open and inviting venue. Menu looked great and many of the entrée dishes really suited my taste such as the Pate, etc. The waitress was very polite and helpful. We ordered some share entrees and them...mains. Entrée’s were great, tasty and we got extra bread for Pate when we requested it. Mains arrived and looked great but there were some minor issues, one serve of fish was very underdone and translucent, not ideal for such a fish a Barramundi, one other dish was not that warm. It is the back of house people who should be on top of this. It was like the focus was to get people in and out the door so they can set up for next sitting for the day. We will be in no hurry to return.More
