We carry cherished memories of a German meal from a long since overseas trip and hoped to replicate the experience. We didn't want to dine so early when we walked past on the fantastic main street the first time and in hindsight we should've! When we returned Hahndorf Inn was packed. We had to eat outside in the beer garden... More

We used to love this restaurant and it was a must come place when we visit Adelaide. Now They became a tourism place doing once off business and do not care customer anymore. The platter price went up from $55+ to $75+, there were 3 kind of dipping mustard sources now only the supermarket cheapest one provided. The pork was... More

Came to Hahndorf for a few days and was recommended the Hahndorf inn as an authentic German experience for dinner !! Food was great but grossly overpriced for what it was. Wait staff were over worked causing forgetfulness. I also hope the kitchen was cleaner than the restrooms ??We are for NSW and I'm a bit embarrassed that these are... More

Simply outstanding. The service was friendly and the food fantastic. We spent some time in Germany and this brought back so many good memories. Great food and beer, a real 'Taste of Germany'. The platter was huge, way more than the two of us could eat. We really wanted the ultimate platter but that was even bigger, you could easily... More

Definitely the spot for big hearty eaters. I thought I was a big eater but their Slow roasted Pork Hock did me in. Excellent sauerkraut and dumplings on the side. Quick friendly service.

Firstly let me say that the beer in this place is just outstanding. Excellent quality German ale. I would recommend the Schloss Dunkel. Sadly, the rest of our meal wasn't outstanding. We had the Burger which was, frankly uninspiring and largely without much taste. Also the caramelised onion and cheese pie was disgraceful, the pastry was not good and I... More

Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was very average (compared to it's competitor across the road). Didn't seem local/freshly sourced from the surrounding areas. Salad was droopy. Furniture is in keeping with rustic, german theme. Beers on tap were good. Definitely not the best place to eat in Hahndorf, and it is expensive for what it is. Definitely pop in... More

Great experience with authentic food and beer. We could even sit outside with our dog. Great atmosphere in such a quaint town.
