I've been coming to Spice occasionally since they opened and they are as strong as ever. Brought two out of town guests for dinner last weekend. Service was well-paced, food was outstanding. It is a bit expensive but is worth it for the quality and thoughtful sourcing. This is one of Cleveland's stand-out restaurants.

This restaurant always provides an enjoyable meal. The environment is festive, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Don't forget to try the mushroom beignets...they are delicious! I highly recommend the pork shoulder of the market fish! Smaller plates, but very good. The mars red velvet dessert is unique, and so yummy!

We had a marvellous dinner at this establishment in Cleveland. Every item was delicious, we loved all the starters. The food is grown at a nearby farm, everything in the menu is seasonal and cooked fresh. All the waiters were extremely knowledgable and efficient. Highly recommend this place.

Locally sourced ingredients including fresh produce grown on their farm drives this interesting menu. We loved our food and the whole experience. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. We went with many of her recommendations and were wowed. Appetizers, mains, desserts. On our visit the space was filled with vibrant, Celosia, common name Fairy Duster. That's appropriate. The magic began... More

I've spent many a wonderful evening at Spice, Marta the bartender is a wealth of knowledge about the food available and has made us unique and tasty drinks. This was NOT tonight! I brought a few friends out from the suburbs to have a drink. Jody the bartender this evening met us at the door almost irritated we showed up... More

Dear Matt, I am so sorry about your experience at Spice Kitchen + Bar last weekend. I agree with you entirely, the efforts of an entire team on farm, in kitchen and in the dining room can in fact be ruined by a single person. Unfortunately that was the case last week. We have taken your critique to heart. This... More

Went to Spice with several other couples and what a good choice. The service started off great and never failed. The menu was a bit short but varied. We all got small plates so we could try several different dishes. A great choice. Be sure to try the dumplings and chickpea fries. The only downside is that Spice is a... More

We had the pleasure of dining at Spice in Gordon Square for brunch. It's a farm to table restaurant, and their menu features a list of all the seasonal ingredients they offer. Their farm produces 80% of the menu's contents and the waiters also spend time on the farm, giving them intimate knowledge of the menu. We started with the... More

It was a Sunday after a concert at the Bop Stop so the menu was limited, but all four in our party were pleased with their selections.

WHERE THE LOCALS EAT LOCAL. "An endless procession of chefs voice devotion to sustainable agriculture. Few Northeast Ohio restaurateurs exhibit so finely honed a commitment to farm-to-table cuisine as the Bebenroths." - Joe Crea, Dining Editor, Northeast Ohio Media Group At Spice, orders for "the usual" have been replaced by requests like, "I'll take whatever's growing." Our food and drink menus change seasonally, and our daily specials are infused with just-picked ingredients from our on-site hoop house or our farm in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. To Chef Ben Bebenroth, buying local is all about supporting independent growers who are strong stewards of our land. Our goal is to source at least 80% of all ingredients from small family farms practicing sustainable forms of agriculture within a 150-mile radius of Cleveland. Our revenue is kept within the community, not spread among a national corporate franchise, to help build momentum toward the revitalization of our city neighborhoods. For you, this means fresher, nutrient-dense ingredients that you can trust, prepared from scratch by classically trained chefs. Located at the gateway to Gordon Square Arts District, about 10 minutes west of downtown Cleveland, Spice also offers creative indoor and outdoor special events spaces for those seeking a new celebration destination.
