Delicious first time visit. Food was tasty and nicely served. But for a restaurant that strives to present a gracious setting, more needs to bring the service crew up to standard. Too much gabbing among the staff, too little care about dress (informal elegance does not translate to jeans and casual tops) distracts from the overall theme and needs to... More

We stopped in for dinner after attending an event at the State Theatre on a Sunday. The decor was modern and tasteful. The service was excellent. Great server was Kali. She recommend the days special soup and pasta and both were awesome !! We will be returning. Great atmosphere!

At both Chinato and now C+H, the kitchen is hell-bent on serving meals in a 1/2" of watery broth - no matter what. I specifically told my charming server about my last three experiences at Chinato where polenta was served almost uncooked, inedible with a fork. She assumed me that the polenta with the duck breast was crispy. What I... More

Good - not memorable. They serve solid good restaurant fare but this is not fine dining. Good wine list. Knowledgeable wine manager. We had a small problem and management responded appropriately. Great pre-theatre choice. They get you in and out without feeling rushed.

The CLE Broadway Divas saw "The Curious Incident of The Dog In the Night-Time" and gave it a thumb's up while sharing the delicious food at Cowell and Hubbard. This place is great for location being a very short walk from the theaters. Food is always good and service is great - thanks to Chelsea who handled our party of... More

The meal was amazing. Very original menu items and the waitstaff was super down to earth. The bar staff wasn't stingy with the pouts either.

Extraordinary service in terms of competence, friendliness and shear numbers of staff serving you. Overall excellent selection and quality of cuisine and wine. Special note of white pizza which was delicious if sweet, cauliflower puree which was well received by everyone, and garlic escarole side which was not as described. Actually no noticeable garlic but a citrusy dressing with hot... More

My wife and I stopped in before heading to a show and were very pleasantly surprised! Service was very good and made sure we got out in time for our show. I had the spinach and bacon salad...and for not being a 'salad guy' enjoyed it! The mushroom soup was the soup of the day and I would of kicked... More

We had popped in to check out the bar service at H and C on March 6, 2016 early'ish (5 pm) and we sat and sat, and while there was a bartender, she went back and forth and ignored us completely. After 10 minutes, we got up and left. Curious to give a second chance, our same group popped in... More

Our family visit to Play House Square for our first show was proceeded with a lovely dinner at Cowell and Hubbard. The menu is different and creative and the service was attentive. The TAMALES AL PASTOR: braised pork, salsa verde, cilantro was delicious as was the BLACKENED CALAMARI SALAD: ginger, cilantro, peanuts & sweet chili vinaigrette and the Mint Chocolate... More
