We were visiting from out of town and weren’t aware that reservations are recommended on Sundays. The hostess was a bit rude about that and his attitude was totally unnecessary...the restaurant was NOT full and we were seated right away. Once seated, our server was...More

Located across the street from the Great Lakes Taproom in the hip Ohio City neighborhood, the Flying Fig is a good place to grab lunch. The atmosphere is nice as is the service.

Visited on a chilly Saturday morning. Difficult to find parking due to the heavy snow. Brunch was fantastic. A brunch burger and a Biscuits and gravy were both excellent. The Biscuits and gravy was a wonderful presentation with chorizo crumbled in the gravy, several small...More

Hi Dave, thank you so much for dining with us on Saturday! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed our brunch and hope you'll join us again soon. Happy new year!

We liked that it was locally owned, and we'd heard that much of their ingredients were locally sourced, but there was really nothing vegan, so we left.

Many of the other restaurants in the area had an hour+ wait for Sunday brunch, but our party of four was able to get right into the Flying Fig. We ended up having a wonderful meal. The brunch menu has great choices for food and...More

Yes, it's a bit cramped coming into the restaurant where the bar is always crowded but getting into the dining area is worth it. The rather terse menu doesn't do justice to the quality of preparation and interesting combinations. I've never had less than an...More

The Flying Fig has long been at the forefront of the farm-to-table movement. After nearly two decades, it remains our goal to support small family farms and local food artisans while creating critically acclaimed menus that evolve frequently to reflect seasonal availability. Our bar features a large, diverse wine list and craft cocktails prepared with local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients. Our atmosphere reflects our diverse neighborhood and is casual and friendly. Founded by owner and executive chef, Karen Small, next door to the restaurant is a small boulangerie-inspired pantry called Market at the Fig. The Market offers artisan sandwiches, fresh breads, and local products like pasta sauces and wines. Together, the two storefronts create a contemporary Parisian-inspired corner on a cobble-stoned street in Cleveland.
