This is a smaller restaurant and the tables are way to close together. The food is OK. We occasionally take friends here when in German Village. The buffet is good. The sausages are good as is the German potato salad cold kraut salad. The cream puffs were pretty good. Not often a destination for us.

Love the brats and the buffet. Especially love the cream puffs - many different flavors to choose from. Delicious!

I accompanied a large group of co-workers to this historical restaurant in the heart of German town. From the time you walked in to this restaurant you felt like you were ready to have a great experience. There was the live music, accordion and tuba, the pictures on the wall, the dessert and takeout previews, the busy, noisy atmosphere and... More

We went to have the giant creme puff and boy did it live up to its name. It was delicious and huge. The sausage looked amazing as well but didn't get to try it.

A destination for locals, simple, basic, honest food in an informal setting, Not particularly German: Pretzel nuggets? Sauerkraut-Bratwurst balls? Not in my Munich but hey, authenticity is in the eye of the imbiber.

The premiere eating establishment for guests wanting German food. Located in German Village, Schmidt's is the number 1 restaurant in Columbus for home made German food. Famous for their weekend outstanding buffets. Buffets have a great selection of traditional German food. Usually crowded in the restaurant with parking always a problem in German Village. A family oriented restaurants with delicious... More

If you want German food, this is the place to go! The buffet is really good and has a wide variety of items on it. Before you leave, you have to try one of the cream puff's that Schmidt's is known for! The waiters and waitresses are even dressed in German type attire. Expect to have to wait a little... More

Schmit's has been a staple in Columbus for decades. Good traditional German food in a dark atmosphere. Difficult parking, but that is expected in German Village. Weekends the band is fun, but can make it difficult for a conversation.

Our sausage has become so famous that the Bahama Mama has been voted the official food of Columbus and the building is registered as a historic landmark. Come take a trip around our Autobahn Buffet or, if you want something other than sausage, try one of our traditional German dinners. Of course, for dessert, you can have one of our half-pound jumbo cream puffs. Stop in today and celebrate with us!
