Katzingers is the deli every neighborhood should have. An authentic joint that is true to its original style, doesn't try to hop on the hipster band wagon, and serves excellent deli fare. Known for their corned beef and smoked fish, as much as the ever present barrels of pickles, katzingers also provides a great selection of breads, bagels, pastries, and... More

Looking for quick place to eat and came across this little gem on Trip advisor. Quaint little place just inside German village. They have "garlic dill pickles".

Hot corned beef sandwich needs to be served with hot, or at least warm, corned beef, right. Not here. Ordered hot corned beef sandwiches. Asked when ordered if we had to order as hot. Were told all corned beef is served hit. Wrong. Cold corned beef and sliced a little too thickly sliced for me. At these prices I will... More

I went to this deli 3 days in a row and wanted to try everything on the menu. They sell out of most bagels early in the day. I appreciated free access the pickle barrel.

Tremendous find for delicious breads, bagels, hash, and cheeses. Stopped in for breakfast, much to the delight of my german/french spouse. The tastes were reminiscent of nyc childhood!!

Maybe it's not the Carnegie, or even Ann Arbor's Zingerman's, but it is as close as we're going to get in our fair city. Good stuff, standing the test of time, with some traditional and savory specialties. Well worth stopping in when you are in C-Bus (on the edge of German Village).

We ate here for lunch on a Saturday before noon so it wasn't very crowded. They have a great selection of sandwiches and some other options. I had the brisket reuben, which was very average - not worth the high price. I've had better reubens for less money, and those usually come with a side of fries or chips; not... More

We stopped at the deli based on a recommendation. Atmosphere was above average but overall our food was typical deli cuisine. The chicken broth and noodles were not as good as recommended. I have had better deli food elsewhere, but this was slightly better than average.

Last night my spouse, a friend, and I had a delicious meal at Katzinger's. I had the #8, chicken salad on challah bread, my spouse had #27, Rueben, and our friend had brisket. While some may gawk at spending $13 for each sandwich, it is filling and unless you are starving, you will not be able to partake in the... More

Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984!
Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon!

We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.
