I was recently in Columbus for a conference and this restaurant was suggested as a "must try." Maybe my expectations were too high. I went around lunchtime on a Wednesday. They were busy but not overly so. There is an almost overwhelming number of choices....More

Ruebens and Knish were outstanding. They were very busy the Saturday before Easter but service for 1st time visitors who needed some help was great. They have a nice local beer selection on top of the sandwiches.

A true New York Deli in the Midwest. Wide assortment of cheeses, meats, breads, desserts and munchies! GLUTEN FREE upon request. Get your garlic dill and dill pickles with tongs from a barrel. Very friendly and helpful staff. They make their own stuff. They don’t...More

After buying our cupcakes next door at Kittie's cupcakes, we always go for the reuben sandwich, my favorite is number 29, the bigger portion. It gives me lunch and dinne ron the plpane on the way back home.

A unique, fun place in a very informal location next to German Village. The food is based upon kosher style meats, vegetables, breads, deserts, pickles, etc. Good, hearty foodstuffs. Not inexpensive but well worth the expenditure Extensive menu with all the favorites. Recommended without hesitation.

I had the #67, turkey, swiss cheese, slaw, thousand island. Only issue is I specifically asked for it not to be grilled, and grilled it was. Other than that, it was delicious, loved the free pickles.

The reuben had lots of meat and the bread was toasted perfectly. The dill pickle was the perfect complement. Split a piece of the New York style cheesecake - left satisfied

They serve breakfast all day. They are open 9-8 on the weekends and 10-8 on weekdays. Their bagel with salmon and cream cheese deserves a try.

Description
Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984! Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon! We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.
