Someone had recommended this to me as a place to get local food. I wanted a light supper to take back to my hotel so I ordered mushroom barley soup (the soup of the day), a side of the redskin potato salad, and for later...More

Popular for a reason. Amazing sandwiches made on an array of different kinds of freshly baked breads. And don't forget the pickle buckets!

This place is fantastic. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. An earlier reviewer said there are limited and dirty tables... I can see how this might happen but I was there a few days ago during a very busy time and I still...More

It's the real deal -- real deli -- in the heart of Columbus, Ohio. I love the corned beef hash (real corned beef!) for brunch. I go for a pickle every week at lunchtime, with a pastrami sandwich on the side. The motzah ball soup...More

Delicious sandwiches and a large selection of sandwiches, meats, cheeses, and lots of specialty items. Sandwiches are very expensive ($10+) for how small they are, but they are good.

Pricey but well worth it for the quality of the stacked sandwiches (available in half sizes), salads, and desserts.

Good subs, German Village area. Use public transportation (or prepare to walk a pretty long distance from your car).

Good food, free pickles, but WAY overpriced! I didn't spend this much for a sandwich in Manhattan!

If not for the limited and often dirty tables this would be a five star. Can't beat the quality and creative offerings.

They serve breakfast all day. They are open 9-8 on the weekends and 10-8 on weekdays. Their bagel with salmon and cream cheese deserves a try.

Description
Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984! Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon! We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.
