What a lovely place to eat. The food is so good, especially the North and south Indian dishes. Chinese and other oriental dishes need improvement but can still give the competition a run for its money. The masala dosas from this haunt will set the yardstick for all dosas to come in your life later. Beware.

Best food served here is the local cuisine. Its indeed very tasty and affordable however its a pretty small hotel and pretty much crowded.

One of the oldest restaurant from the time when Shillong was the capital of Assam. Must try Chinese especially Hakka noodles & chilly chicken.

We went here based on a recommendation of our friend and the experience was a bit average compared to the hype. Food was good to ok, dosas could have been a bit more better. Though there are many seats, the ability to accommodate large groups could be a constraint. The Indian dishes seem to be more feasible than the others... More

We were tired of eating Chinese and local food. Thought to try south indian food in North East and it was a huge success. We had awesome dosa and very good idly. Thought it was not equal to chennai idly sambar, still it scored a lot when compared to other place.

Regal has been around for ages. It's just right for affordable and tasty meals at the end of a shopping trip to Police Bazar. The Chinese and Indian food is good, and it's best-know for the dosas.

Shillong is NOT a place of delightful dishes. Most of the places serves awful food. But this place is something close to a good meal. Nothing special, but affordable, 3.5/5 dishes. Probably the only place (I visited) which is worth my money and stomach.

The Regal restaurant located in Police Bazar, Shillong serves tasty south-indian delights like masala dosai which is a crowd favourite, idlis, vada and many others. Its always full the whole week through and its very difficult to find a table sometimes :-)

I truly love the restaurant . It has excellent service very polite waiters and whatever I have ordered I have not been disappointed. The cafe is always full. It is a great place to meet families and schoolchildren and young couples khasi and non khasi all come here to eat which is a wonderful experience. The prices are also good.... More
