We went for dinner. The restaurant inside is very cozy with view. We tried the seal and the reindeer, they tasted good, we had 2 glasses of wine and paid total 80 euro, which is an average price among the restaurants in Longyerbien.
This is honestly the best restaurant in Longyearbyen to enjoy a great meal. Amazing service, great food and unique location. The bar manager is really the best, super flexible and perfect wine recommendations. Gave us an unforgettable night with great food, cocktails and even a...surprise dessert for the birthday girl that he made himself after the kitchen closed. I also think the food was almost "too cheap" compared to how much we got and the high quality. Can not ask for more.More
We stayed at the hotel, so we had a bit cheaper price at the restaurant, so it was already a plus for us, but we saw a lot of locals eating there as well. It must be a popular place, and for a good reason....My wife got the whale steak, I got the seal steak. They were both tasty, and even my wife who generally does not like to eat either of those things was surprised how tender and well-made the meat was. Portions were pretty big as well and the garden atmosphere made it an even nicer experience.More
This is a special fine dining restaurant, and feels like dining in a greenhouse, which is quite a contrast as all the country outside is tundra with permafrost and very scant vegetation. The service was quick and cheerful and the food and drink excellent and...plentyful. The only point of negative comment was the draughty room and it was rather colder inside than was comfortable. This was not surprising with glass walls and ceiling.More
Such a wonderful place for dinner in Longyearbyen, the food was really good and the apple crumble dessert put the cherry on top. The place looked so beautiful with the flowers and all the decorations. A wonderful experience.

Thanks a lot Migliusss! That was so wonderful to read! We will be very glad to welcome you again!
Fantastic restaurant, wonderful atmosfere. The interior was worth a visit in itself. However the seal-steak was the best I have ever had. And I used to live in Greenland!! The reindeer and the camembert was equally delicious. And the drinks yummy!

Woow! That was really wonderful to read! Thank you for visiting us and we wish you many amazing meals during your next travels!:)
The discovery of fossilised tropical plants on Svalbard provided Mary-Ann with an idea to create this fabulous restaurant. The Winter Garden is a green oasis of plants surrounding you as you dine while the snowy arctic mountains can be seen outside. The limited menu included...trational fare such as whale and seal so I opted for the reindeer which was sensational. The resturant is quite an experience and well worth the short walk from the centre of Longyearbyen.More
