A lovely location right on the water, and an easy stroll along to a great bird hide. Limited lunch menu but the sandwiches and chips were good value and hearty. Helpful and pleasant staff. We will be back the next time we are in Suffolk.

Passing through stopped for lunch. Excellent variety of choose. Ended up with the butternut soup - excellent.

Staying here overnight, I thought it was really good value. Well prepared and presented food and the rarest of things: a varied and generous ‘artisan’ cheeseboard (with an unannounced slice of quince jelly and lovely chutney).

Booked an overnight stay, which was more expensive than local hotel chains, as more convenient for a family visit. Included breakfast and we also had a fish and chip takeaway. The room was tired, especially the bathroom, and not with the money. Breakfast was better,...More

We got there early so sat in the beer garden enjoying the sublime view of the river Blyth as the sun set. They weren’t quite open but kindly served us some drinks anyway. Main courses were excellent, two Cromer crab salads and blue cheese gnocchi,...More

While on holiday we visited for Sunday lunch and had roast beef - delicious. We decided we'd visit again another day and had risotto/pork steak and desserts. Again, we were not disappointed. We had to wait a while for the evening meals but definitely worth...More

To start off with we have been here many times and have enjoyed some exceptional food and service, it has admittedly been a while since we have visited. We have regularly raved to friends and family about the food here, sadly we shall no longer...More

Had the pleasure of visiting this lovely setting in a rainy Sunday afternoon when despite being extremely busy, managed to fit us in. We were not disappointed. Lovely Sunday lunch with freshly prepared vegetables and generous portions. Well worth a visit but book in advance.
