My husband and I visited The Royal Oak for the first time last night, 14.1.17 after many years of passing and saying we must try that. Well we definitely should have tried it sooner! Lovely place. The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and polite. The food was fantastic home cooked quality food. We had the mini meze to share as... More

Have passed the pub several times during shopping trips etc and this Sunday decided to stop by on the way home for a couple of pints and something to eat. The pub is quaint inside with a nice atmosphere and we both enjoyed the real beer on offer. Decided to order Sunday lunch. Well, I can honestly say that in... More

Stumbled along this pub whilst staying nearby and was the best meal we had whilst away! Great food and such reasonable prices! A lot of choice! It was not busy when we went and we didn't wait long for our food. Lovely chatty staff. They also have 2 cats which are super cute, so if you're a cat person this... More

Greek Meze was the order of the evening - very varied and filling. Extremely tasty and flavoursome. Food was hot and the service efficient by lovely smiley staff. Publican, greeted us and wished us happy new year at the turn of midnight. For New Year's Eve menu it was very reasonably priced for 18 different dishes at £20 per head,... More

Greeted at the door and taken straight to our table. Waitress served us our free drink and fresh rolls arrived. Our starters, dinner and desserts all arrived well presented and hot, with a good interval between each course. Coffee and mince pies to finish. A perfect day. Thank you to all the staff. Great value for money.

Popped in for an early dinner, what a great place! Lovely staff, great atmosphere, very festive. Great food, reasonably priced, with a Greek Theme. Very good pint for the real ale drinkers. 80ft deep well in one room, don't look down if you had a few too many drinks! Dog friendly, and a couple of pub cats, which is great... More

Staff were welcoming and friendly. We came for Sunday lunch and head booked a table. Drinks were served fairly quickly and there was a good range available. We were a group of six and all ordered the Sunday roast, two lamb and four beef. All were served on cold plates. The lamb was quite good, the beef was tough. Vegetables... More
