Dropped in by chances again a pub that allows dog's in the bar area. Really good food at lunch time the four of us were fed well, good menu reasonably priced, good service. This pub excels in service and good food a hearty recommendation.

Have been going to The Black Horse for several years when visiting an old friend at Battle and I must say we are always very pleased with the meal and of course the excellent service!

Last minute decision......called up and was squeezed in within 10 minutes!! Service was great, food lovely home roast, 2 choices! Very warm friendly atmosphere will definitely be going back!

Yes they do have a reasonable wine list, and good beers and ales, also food, its a lovely pub with a lovely large garden, staff are friendly and help full, i would recommend it :-)
