Not great food, place falling apart and tatty. Think it's probably going to close some time soon. Rumour has it a supermarket chain is after it then hear it will go for auction. We'll see

Tried to get a meal and drink here but not serving due to staff problems. It appeared that this is becoming more regular. May be redeveloped?

Had drinks and bar snacks (chips and giant onion rings) here sitting in the hot sun on Saturday. Great place to sit overlooking the sea. All the food that was bought out looked very tasty. Will definitely return.

Great welcome from Steve the chef and Becky behind the bar. We ordered sea bass with crushed potato for me and Steve made a delicious roast pork ciabatta with apple sauce for Sam. The quality of the food and the cooking were second to none, also the presentation was remarkably good. I would and will recommend this excellent venue to... More

Great service and excellent food. The best Sunday roast from a pub ever, better than I or my Mum could make even the Yorkshire puddings and I'm from Yorkshire! Excellent value for money too. Freehouse with a good selection of different lagers and Real ales (Camra approved).

I went to the Beach Tavern in Pevensey Bay with my friend for sunday lunch. The food was really nice and the service was friendly. Seems the pub is under new ownership and the landlord couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. I had been here before in past years and seems to be better to me Its also... More

The tavern has a great mix of locals and hotel guests.a relaxed atmosphere and less formal than the hotel restaurant .The food is amazing, locally sourced and cooked fresh in the open kitchen. The steak stones are incredible.... A treat in anyone's book!

Visited today at lunchtime for the first time since moving to East Sussex 16 Years ago. Was in Pevensey for a Boot Fair, then into the town to do some shopping. Felt hungry on the way back home to Bexhill. Had been to the Moorings before and had an awful time there. Had some drinks initially and then ordered food.... More

Rude staff and management, highly priced drinks. On the plus side, there was a great band playing but could barely hear them over the yobs filling the pub. Oh and a lovely big hole in the toilet wall. Classy.
