I’ve dined at this pub on a few occasions, but was very disappointed with my recent visit. My prawn starter consisted of just 4 tiny prawns on 2 slices of soggy garlic bread at a cost of £8.95 which I felt was exorbitant! The roast...wasn’t much better either - I almost broke my teeth on the potatoes, as they were rock hard and the vegetables were undercooked! Very disappointed, and I certainly won’t be going back!More

Had lunch with my family at the Green Man today. Not many pubs will take a large booking unless it is Christmas. The Green Man allowed us as a family, 14 in all, to share lunch there today. The food was great, with a good...varied menu, even for our vegetarian granddaughter. The staff were welcoming and friendly and a pleasure. Everything was excellent, including the bill. Thank you all at the Green Man, we look forward to coming again.More

Had lunch there today. Met by a smiling Holly who took our order. Tomato soup followed by sea bass. Others had sausage and mash, and a prawn baguette. All excellent fare. Finished with ice cream and also one waffle with summer fruit and ice cream....Delicious! Altogether a lovely three hours. I congratulated the manager Ellis, in her staff when I was there two weeks ago. We shall be going there again; a very congenial venue.More

Food slow to arrive, 4 meals ordered, two of which came with chips which were more like burnt offerings, third meal was fine but vegetables hardly in existence. four meal was very average pizza overcooked.beers, first one not available, second choice ran out after the...first point so ended up with a third substitute. Beer overpriced, meals overpriced for what they were. Would recommend the Boars head just down the round all round better value.More

Lovely pub & food but unfortunately must have turned up on a busy evening. Ordered ham, egg & chips & a pizza. I was told there was an hour wait for food, which was fine. After an hour & 15 minutes without any sign of...food I spoke to them & was told it’ll be another 10-15 minutes, 20 minutes later there was still no food, at which point my partner & child went home. I cancelled my partners order (which I would’ve been unable to take home - the ham, egg & chips) & was told I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes for the pizza which I ordered. Tbh I’d waited about 1hr 40 at the point so didn’t think that another 10 minutes was such a big deal. I did get the pizza within the time & it was absolutely delicious (as always - the pizza here is lovely) but it was a shame I had to wait so long. If it’s going to be that long, then just tell people that at the time of ordering & let them decide whether it’s worth waiting that long.More

They are allowed in the bar and sofa area just not the restaurant. There are a couple of tables for eating in bar area too.

Dogs are allowed. I wouldn't have thought in the food areas but I am not sure. They have a biggish garden too.
