There is no doubt that the food is good here. But I would hesitate before coming here again on a Saturday night. As it is a pub it was very loud and noisy around the dining area. There is a side door that people use to go outside and smoke. Despite there being a sign on the door asking for... More

We booked our works Xmas lunch here last week, we all had a brilliant afternoon. Atmosphere was good, all staff were nice and friendly. Food was very nice, and large portions. Oliver was great help from start of booking to on the day. Definitely would recommend , and will be returning.

I came for a BBQ corporate event so can't comment on the value for money, but the food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. I've been here for drinks as well and there is always a good atmosphere.

We had a Living Social voucher so wondered where the catch was. Freshly made sandwiches, lovely moist scones and cake with prosecco. Great service too! So no catch. Loved the pub, clean nice decor, good loos. Will come here again. Thank you!

It was written on the menu of the person what they couldn't eat. And yet that person gad to ask at each Corse to make sure, every time the... More

Thanks for the review, however the facts are nowhere near as you say they are I'm afraid. You made your organiser aware of your lactose intolerance, however, despite me asking multiple times during the booking process and also at the table, this information was NOT relayed to me by them. You ordered the winter vegetable soup and when it was... More

We popped in for some lunch while out & about in Chelmsford. Only a 10 minute walk from the main shopping area. Excellent service with polite & helpful staff. We had the steak & onion baguettes with salad & fries. Lovely lean steak with no fat or gristle. Highly recommend.

(sorry mum!) and the gravy. oh the gravy! safe to say I'll be back most weekends. Lovely staff and reasonably priced. The free parking rounf the back was a nice touch... More
