I have made good friends with some of the pubs locals. It is very dog friendly, they recently renovated the pub garden which looks very good and offers a lovely place to sit and relax on a warm evening. The food is generally good, but...More

Lovely location and superb view over the Solent. Probably the best place to come on a day which is clear and sunny. It will be busy on a sunny day. The food was unremarkable but fine - pub food basically.

We arrived about 5.00pm. No staff to greet us so we sat down at a table we subsequently were told was reserved although no notice was showing at the time. We wanted a seat by the window and eventually we were offered grudgingly the next...More

Well, I wasn't expecting too much as the reviews on Trip Advisor are very mixed and seem to be at either end of the spectrum! Firstly we had been told like other diners, that we could not book in advance as our party was less...More

The pub was busy inside and we decided to sit outside. There was loads of tables that had uncleared glasses on them and staff who were not interested in clearing them. 1 table had uncleared plates. 1 member of staff really didn't want to be...More

After being recommended this place by my partners work colleague as a great Gastro Pub we decided to give it a try. We stood around for a while and then asked at the bar about ordering food. We were told to take a seat and...More

The Osborne is our local and we haven't visited for over a year - why? because sadly the comments on Trip Advisor are true. Service is unpredictable and the food isn't great. It's a mass careering pub and because of its location right on the...More

Arrrived to long queues to order food. On ordering told food would be 45 minutes. Came 1:15 minutes later and was stone cold. Appeared to be taking more orders than they could possibly fulfil. Would give it a miss. Shame as nice location.More

Waited for 1hr 15minutes for a burger and when it finally arrived everything was cold. The service was crazy slow as they didn't seem that busy. Demanded a refund which I received. This pub is ok for drinks because of location. Food service/ quality is...More

Location is this pub's selling point. On. busy residential street in Hill Head, it's set on several floors on the cliff edge. Despite being warm and sunny outside the garden area (with blue plastic picnic tables made of recycled plastic bottles) was only a quarter...More
